Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal, the two-time Wimbledon champion, and wife Xisca Perello welcomed a baby boy on Saturday. According to Spanish media, Nadal’s wife gave birth at a private clinic in Palma, the capital of Mallorca.

The couple have yet to make an official comment. According to Spanish magazine, Hola!, the baby is doing well. It said: “Both the mum and her baby, born in the 37th week of her pregnancy, are doing well. The birth took place in a private clinic on the island where Mery [Xisca] had to remain under observation and rest completely in the last few weeks.”

The couple are likely to name their child Sebastia or Sebastian in English, which is the name of Nadal’s father and great-grandfather. The news of Nadal’s wife being pregnant was confirmed in June after weeks of speculation.
