Neeraj Chopra is organising the event with JSW Sports in collaboration with the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) and World Athletics at the Kanteerava Stadium. The 27-year-old said NC Classic will be an annual sporting event and is hopeful that apart from javelin throw, other sports will also be included in the future

With the inaugural edition of the Neeraj Chopra Classic just a day away, its ambassador said that the marquee event has to be made successful so that Indian athletes get a chance to compete with international players.
"I am thinking about my performance, but the event also has to be made successful so that it can be further expanded in the future...So that our Indian athletes also get a chance to compete and our track and field events further elevate," said the two-time Olympic medal winner. Taking to X:
