Pic/Getty Images</span></p></td></tr></tbody></table>Chelsea went ahead after six minutes through Patrick Van Aanholt, but Newcastle roared into a 3-1 lead with goals from Nile Ranger, Ryan Taylor and Shola Ameobi (49th).<br /><br />The hosts, reduced to 10 men after Yossi Benayoun went off injured when they had used all their substitutes, struck back with two Nicolas Anelka goals, one a penalty, before Ameobi headed the winner in the 90th minute before six minutes of stoppage time.<br /><br />With Chelsea sitting atop of the Premier League after an unbeaten start to the season, manager Carlo Ancelotti saw fit to make sweeping changes to the side that beat Blackpool 4-0 on Sunday, with Ross Turnbull starting in goal and John Terry returning from injury to shepherd a backline consisting of the Dutch duo of Patrick Van Aanholt and Jeffrey Bruma along with Paulo Ferreira, whilst Daniel Sturridge and French winger Gael Kakuta were also handed a chance to shine.
