Novak Djokovic enjoys hike to Serbia’s Rtanj mountain with wife Jelena

The World No. 1 said he feels a sense of fulfillment when he reaches on the top of the mountain.

Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic, who pulled out of the Madrid Open last month, went on a hike with wife Jelena to Rtanj mountain in his hometown. 

On Saturday, he Instagrammed this picture (right) and captioned it: “Rtanj mountain is one of the most mysterious and powerful mountains in our country and probably beyond. This is second time I have hiked to the top with @jelenadjokovicndf.”

The World No. 1 said he feels a sense of fulfillment when he reaches on the top of the mountain. “Symbolically, when hiking to the top of the mountain, we go through a challenging journey mentally and physically. When reaching the top, you feel proud but only if you have enjoyed and appreciated the entire journey to the top, you will feel fulfillment,” explained Djokovic.
