Plant-based diet has made Venus Williams’s skin ‘amazing’

American tennis ace Venus Williams  has revealed that turning vegan has benefitted her both professionally and personally. 


Williams, who has been eating a plant-based diet for a decade, told insider.com that it’s transformed her performance on the tennis court, improved her skin and overall health.


After being diagnosed with Sjogren’s Syndrome, which causes joint pain and fatigue, in 2011, Williams’s tennis career looked bleak. 


Turning vegan, however, was a game-changer. “Plant-based [diet] definitely changed my life, it made my skin amazing,” said Williams. Meanwhile, being vegan doesn’t mean cutting out snacks. She said: “I’ve never met a French fry that wasn’t vegan.”
