A special trophy has been framed in the memory of Nana Raghunath, the soft-spoken and down-to-earth trainer from western India who passed away at Kolkata last year where he was looking after the Padmanabhan-trained In The Spotlight, the filly who later won the Indian Derby in February at Mahalaxmi.
Rosalind, trained Pesi Shroff and to be ridden by S Zervan, is tipped to win the event, and in fact, shapes as the best betting proposition of the Saturday afternoon.
First race at 2 pm.
