Though seven batsmen registered half-centuries in the Dr HD Kanga Cricket League 'A' division yesterday, Karnataka Sporting Association's Rudra Dhanday was the only batsman who could convert his fifty into a ton. The right-handed opener did so against Fort Vijay CC at Cross Maidan. Batting first, Karnataka SA managed to score 158, thanks to Dhanday's unbeaten 100 (3x4, 2x6). The second top-scorer was No. 10 batsman Akshay Girap, who remained not out on 15. For Fort Vijay, medium pacer Farhan Kazi claimed five for 54 while off-spinner Harshad Rawale returned with figures of three for 45. In reply, Fort Vijay scored 135 for four in a drawn match.
