Gold Coast: A poisonous snake sent fans fleeing as it slithered near to the playing field of a National Rugby League match in Australia on Monday.

A three-foot (one metre) Eastern Brown snake slithered onto the grass between the playing field and the stands in a corner of the Gold Coast stadium 10 minutes into the first half of the NRL match between the Gold Coast Titans and the North Queensland Cowboys.
