India badminton player Saina Nehwal is trying to look at the positives after her chance to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics are all but over.

On Wednesday, Singapore Badminton Association and Badminton World Federation jointly agreed to cancel Singapore Open (June 1-6), the last qualifying event due to Covid-19-related travel restrictions.
"In the interests of all players, tournament personnel and the local community's health and safety, the event has been cancelled. BWF can confirm the tournament will not be rescheduled," the BWF said in a statement. "All attempts were made by the organisers and BWF to provide a safe tournament environment for all participants. However, rising Covid-19 cases globally led to complex challenges in managing inbound travel."
Meanwhile, on Thursday, Saina Nehwal Instagrammed the above picture and captioned it: “Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you’ll start having positive results. #positivevibes #staystrong.”

She is the only Indian female player to achieve the number 1 world ranking in badminton. She has won 3 gold medals at the Commonwealth Games and is also a bronze medallist at the Olympics.
