American skiing champion Mikaela Shiffrin, who has achieved a record 85 World Cup wins, surpassing Lindsey Vonn (82), recalled how a lunch with Swiss tennis great Roger Federer gave her a positive approach when she was going through a difficult period in her life.


According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, she said: “I feel like that lunch came at a time when I really needed it. Federer advised me to enjoy the most incredible moments because what I do is incredible. I was like, Oh my God, Roger Federer is telling me about my career.
