Colin Montgomerie confirmed last night that he will be stepping down as Ryder Cup captain after the nail-biting win at Celtic Manor.<br /><br />"This is a one-hit time   ufffd I will not be doing this again," he said. "I think it's only right that it should be shared around."<br /><br />Jose Maria Olazabal is favourite to take over for Chicago in 2012 with Ireland's Paul McGinley, another of the assistants in Wales, expected to lead Europe at Gleneagles in 2014.
