The Altaf Hussain Million, a six-furlong contest for class IV horses, is the prime attraction of Saturday's seven-race card at the Pune race track. Trainer Aman Hussain, who slipped into his father's shoes after the latter's sudden demise in November 2023, has pitched in a very well-prepared three-year-old colt, Neutralist (P Trevor up), in the hope of winning the event named after his late father.
But at least three of Neutralist's rivals--Zendaya, Absolute Gorgeous and Surreliast--are capable of posing challenge, especially the last-named trained by Pesi Shroff, who will be saddled by Himmat Singh in his absence, is definitely capable of carrying his quality early speed all the way up to the winning post in a start-to-finish manner.
First race at 2 pm.
