India's ace shuttler PV Sindhu on Tuesday crashed out of the ongoing Thailand Open in the opening round after losing the hard-fought match against Denmark's Mia Blichfeldt.

Sindhu won the first game of the opening round in comprehensive fashion but her opponent came back strongly and defeated Sindhu in back-to-back games to enter the second round.
PV Sindhu lost the 74-minute match (21-16, 24-26, 13-21).
Earlier, the Indian mixed doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Ashwini Ponnappa advanced to the second round of the Thailand Open following a hard-fought win over Indonesia's Hafiz Faizal and Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja.
Satwiksairaj and Ashwini defeated their Indonesian opponent 21-11, 27-29, 21-16 in the opening round contest which lasted one hour and 12 minutes.
The Indian duo will next face the Chinese pair of Chang Tak Ching and Ng Wing Yung for a place in the quarterfinals.
