US basketball star Tristan Thompson has apologised to his ex-girlfriend, American reality TV star, Khloe Kardashian, after the results of a paternity test proved he is the father of a child with Maralee Nichols when they were in a relationship. 

Thompson also has a daughter, True, three, with Kardashian. On Monday, the Sacramento Kings NBA player wrote on Instagram: “Today, paternity tests results revealed that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions. Now that paternity has been established, I looked forward to amicably raising our son. I sincerely apologise to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately.”
