Spain coach Vicente del Bosque declared that his team are intent on making history after they defeated Portugal 1-0 to reach the quarter-finals. The European champions edged out their Iberian neighbours thanks to a solitary goal from leading marksman David Villa. "We have felt comfortable, good defensively and created danger with the ball," he said before praising some of Spain's unsung heroes. We have had more than thirty days training and I think these players want to make history," the former Real Madrid coach said.
