New York: Serbian tennis star Ana Ivanovic loves reading and she&rsquo;s reading about your city in Shantaram, a 2003 novel by Gregory David Roberts as she prepares to parade her skills at the US Open which kicks off here today.

The book is about a convicted Australian bank robber and drug addict who escapes from prison and flees Mumbai (Bombay in the novel).
Asked by allure.com about how she relaxes, Ivanovic said: &ldquo;I love to read. Right now, I&rsquo;m reading Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts. It&rsquo;s fiction, but it&rsquo;s based on a real-life story, and there are so many characters. I like deep stuff like that.&rdquo; Ivanovic also said that if she wasn&rsquo;t a tennis player, she would have been a psychologist.
Those kid days... The World No 7, who recently became the face of a sun protection cream, told Glamour.com she wanted to be blonde many years ago. &ldquo;When we were kids I remember we&rsquo;d use lemon in our hair and go into the sun hoping it would make us blonde. Obviously, I have very dark hair and olive skin and when I was a kid I wanted to be blonde, of course. It never worked.&rdquo; She also revealed that she loves ice baths: &ldquo;After a tough match I&rsquo;ll do an ice bath and that&rsquo;s really good for recovery because it helps circulation.
