St Joseph Convent, Bandra finished their last group stage match on a high after they beat G D Somani, Cuffe Parade riding on Yvonne Mistry's brace.

They won the contest 2-0 to qualify for the knockout stages of the Mumbai Schools Sports Association's Girls under-16 inter-school football tournament played at Azad Maidan.



Making her debut in the MSSA tournament, Mistry has already struck six past the 'keeper in just four games.u00a0

u00a0She gave all credit to her teammates who helped her break into the squad and eventually in the starting line-up. "I used to play the game as an activity, but my friends pushed me to play for the school. I also had to convince my mother to let me play," said Mistry.
