There has been a surge in true wireless earphones after the launch of Apple AirPods. But how does a company distinguish itself from the competition that their "true" wireless earphones are worth the spend? If you're Jabra, you go for the sporty crowd. The Elite Sport is their true wireless earbuds but the thing that makes it special is the ability to track runs and workouts. But does it work well as it sounds? Let's find out.
The Elite Sport are well designed. Jabra bundles three pair (S, M, L sizes) of ear wings, EarGels and FoamTips to ensure you get the best fit. Users should try out the different wings and tips to see what fits best and once it does, you'll not want to go back.
Given its size, the probability of losing them is high, which is why Jabra also bundles a carry case that acts as a charger for the Elite Sport. The case can give two full charges to the Elite Sport, which means 9 extra hours over and above Elite Sport's 4.5 hours but in our test, we got combined battery life of around 10 hours, which is great for a pair of earbuds that in addition to
relaying audio.
Jabra Sport Life app is what really enhances Elite Sport's functionality. It helps to track workouts, runs, heart rate and even helps measure VO2 Max level that shows our fitness level. The app also offers real-time in-ear coaching to ensure the user gets most out of the workout. It offers good quality playback with the ability to customise it further with adjustable EQ profiles. The earbuds are also equipped with two microphones each to cut the ambient noise.
Jabra Elite Sport is one of the few true wireless earbuds available in India and does its job well. If you're looking to use earphones during exercise that not only plays audio but also suggests to max out your fitness sessions, Elite Sportcan be a worthy buy.
