A four-day weekend is nothing short of a mini vacation for the working class hero. Once done with the obligatory Diwali visits, fill your days with some of these treats.
Veermata Jijabai Bhonsale Udyan is a 50-acre botanical garden in the heart of the city. The zoo is divided into various sections such as the Zoo Campus, Penguins’ Room, Aquatic birds’ aviary and a botanical garden that is home to over 3,000 trees casting the perfect shade for a picnic. You can also fit in art and culture into the day by checking out the archaeological artefacts and historical photographs at Dr Bhau Daji Lad Museum. The 75ft high David Sassoon Clock Tower and some installations make for a great Instagram photo op.
