Matunga-based canine behaviourist Hetal Mehta is one of the few pet photographers in the city who can not only take a portrait of you with your four-legged pet, but can also direct dogs  for campaigns for pet brands. Mehta she avoids typical portraits. “II try to make it more natural by shooting a family portrait at a lake or a trek,” she says. Mehta is also into pet product photography. “As a behaviourist,” she says. “I know how to get the perfect head tilt, or happy wag, or work with more than one dog without creating chaos. I also know they can’t stay still, so I keep them moving.”

RECOMMENDED BY: Anand Valia, Founder of Let’s Wag collars and leashes. I was looking for a someone who can work with dogs as you need to shoot quickly before s/he moves, and also to position them properly. Being a trainer, Hetal knew how to get them to obey commands. The photos turned out extremely well.
