GYF returns to Mumbai with sound baths, wisdom sessions, and a sober, soul-first energy

This year felt like one long scroll, but there’s finally something different to circle on your calendar. The Global Youth Festival (GYF) is back with its 7th edition on December 6 and 7 at Jio World Garden. And this year’s edition is shaping up to be its most expansive yet. Think of it as a festival where you can exhale.
What started as a youth experiment across Gujarat, Pune, and London is now a 15,000-strong global movement driven entirely by volunteers. GYF is intentionally sober, purpose-led, and built around the 5S philosophy of Satsang, Sadhana, Seva, Sanskruti, and Sports. The idea: To give young people a space that is both energising and grounding. It’s targeted for 16 and above, and organisers say they hope to see 16- to 40-year-olds attend the event.
