We stumbled on a food delivery app after a friend recommended it and its desserts looked (and sounded) delicious on the app. Next, we found ourselves looking at their Instagram page and drooled as we scrolled. So we decided to give them a call and place our order for a pick up.

In the same building as American Dry Fruits at Kala Ghoda, operating out of the kitchen of The Pink Rosette bakery is Strati Desserts, the maker of layered cup desserts. The first one we ordered was the berry frutti-e-panna (Rs 350)—it had jelly, graham crackers, fresh berries, vanilla custard, berry compote, vanilla sponge and vanilla chantilly; all of it topped with a slice of strawberry and two blueberries. We were bowled over by the magic of the layers, an interplay of sweet and tangy and it took 50 seconds for this writer and her friend to dig into the goodness and finish the dessert. The Cioccolato Grand (Rs 325) had dark chocolate brownie cubes, layered with dark chocolate mousse, milk chocolate brownie cubes, milk chocolate mousse, homemade chocolate sable crumble, chocolate shards, chocolate chantilly.
