Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy

Publisher’s Square Enix will be releasing their Guardians of the Galaxy game in October as well. You get to play as Peter Quill AKA Star-Lord and you have to get your team consisting of Gamora, Drax, Groot and Rocket to work with you on missions. Of course, there will be plenty of humour and shenanigans with this game. Something that was sorely lacking in the Avengers game. You can also scavenge for things during the game, which can be used to upgrade weapons, shields and more.

Battlefield 2042


Battlefield 2042 will be a spectacle of epic proportions with massive 128-player battles. Players will get to experience cutting-edge weapons, vehicles and equipment in a dynamic world with live events and storms. The world is on the brink of war thanks to extreme weather condition which has caused the global power to shift. You can fight using combat jets, helicopters and a huge roster of futuristic combat vehicles, including tanks. Players can choose their specialist roles from four classes. Specialists have unique specialities and traits, but you can choose your weapons and customisations according to your game style.

Age of Empires IV

Age of Empires is making a comeback this year with its fourth version, after a gap of more than 15 years. The game will play majorly on the nostalgia of the Age Of Empires franchise and will be focused on the Middle Ages. It will also see improvements in graphics and gameplay. There are many factions to choose from and each has its distinct powerup. You can expect Microsoft to bring out a bunch of DLCs to this game, to improve its replayability.

Call of Duty: Vanguard

Activision throws players right in the middle of famous World War II battles with Call of Duty: Vanguard. Players will battle enemies on both the Eastern and Western European fronts as well as the Pacific and North Africa. You will get to play with customisable authentic weapons through the story mode and on massive battlefields in the multiplayer mode. The game has new gameplay mechanics and a reactive environment.

Far Cry 6

Far Cry 6 is also around the corner and this time around they have roped in Giancarlo Esposito of Breaking Bad to play the villain Anton Castillo. There is still a lot of guerrilla warfare and open-world madness thrown in just like the previous versions. The entire campaign is also playable in co-op mode this time. Ubisoft has already announced a bunch of DLCs coming to the game, which will keep the fun going for much longer. What’s not expected to come back is Far Cry’s arcade mode.

FIFA 22

The next version of FIFA starts off the gaming season with its October release. It will feature Hypermotion technology on the next-gen consoles. Hypermotion promises to be the most advanced, true to life animation of the players derived from more than 8.7 million frames of video captured by EA. There are also improvements in the AI of the game, which will make playing against the computer more interesting. There will also be big improvements to ball physics and goalkeepers,

Riders Republic

This brand-new franchise from Ubisoft will feature massive 50 player events where players can go biking, snowboarding, skiing or fly a wingsuit. The game has already had a limited beta release where users could experience the game first hand and participate in the massive races. There is a career mode as well in the game where you can play either solo or with other players. Throughout your career, you can participate and win well-known sports competitions like X-Games and Red Bull Rampage. The best part is this game has cross-play, so, you can play this game with friends regardless of what console or PC they are connected with.

Forza Horizon 5

In Forza Horizon 5, you will explore open-world landscapes in Mexico. The game will also feature a huge roster of the world’s greatest cars and a varied environment featuring deserts, jungles, cities, ruins and beaches. The game will feature hundreds of challenges, and like Forza Horizon 4, the environment will be constantly evolving and adding new areas to explore and things to do.
