Born and brought up at PSU Steel Plant City ‘Bhilai Nagar’. After schooling did engineering from NIIT Raipur and graduated as Civil Engineer in 1987. While schooling, was fond of reading books of varied genres as comics, the then children magazines, story books, novels, history books, our ancestral literature books ranging from Vedas, Purans, Upnishads, Ramayan, Geeta, Mahabharata, etc etc. Also participating in school level, district level and state level competitions for literature activities. While all these activities, the thoughts of writing own books as professional writer often knocked the heart and mind. But nothing concrete materialized.
Then while college life, got opportunities to explore much more in global literature domain and aspiration for writing own books. But, again without any visible success.
Time clock went on spinning, afterwards golden period of life been spent as working at various positions from few inactive experiences, Trainee Engineer to General Manager Contracts with various MNC’s and Corporates…But the aspirations never died, rather kept on snowballing…
Finally out of unpredictability of low period of life amid inexplicable arrays of unavoidable painful issues, preponed the retirement.
And then started investing time to write the first book, the ideas of which were haunting me since many years, which also been written in bits and pieces here and there.
As a novice, my experience with the first Novel “MIRRRO” (Published in November 2019) was beyond words and emotions, which inspired the creativity inside me to do more and more endlessly…..
Then the deadly Covid struck the whole planet, quarantined us in Locked Down….that period like many, I utilized to create my Book BANK….with 7-8 Books, planned to roll on in couple of years to come.
After little bit normalcy my second Novel “Me No Pause Me Play” got published in September 2022…..The third Book is in the process of publishing….and writing of new Books is continued….
2. What inspired you to write this novel Me No Pause Me Play?
See we all are family and social people, blessed with presence of women in various roles in our lives. Please note that I am not promoting or favoring women, but, talking about my book, whose idea came into mind while observations since long back. And at the same time not disgracing men. So while the journey of life, we often find them working like human heart, without any rest.
So women are hearts of our family systems and our social systems, without whom the so called systems could collapse for sure….
Observations on similar dots at many occasions in and around own families and society, inspired thoughts, conceived the idea and inculcated into an emotional story imbibing innovative measures seeking resolving our women’s unavoidable pain-points with out-of-the-box solutions…
3. What problems did you face during writing book about women ideology?
Feeling the emotions, especially deep pains of women was really the most difficult part of the process of writing.
Fabricating a story without really feeling the emotions also being glorified as an art, not in today’s age but since ages. But, then such story grows boneless and soulless.
Whereas, true feel of sensing the intricacy and complicacy of real life emotions of characters, especially women is not only difficult, but, equally painful for the Author.
In this case of “Me No Pause Me Play”, where the life situations and challenges were reasonably quite unique, thanks to the Characters, who influenced their own path and the story rolled over seamlessly with lesser viscosity.
So, once the emotions are felt like ownself emotions, then the ideology could be envisioned.
4. Tell me about your ideology for women and what made you to write Me No Pause Me Play.
This particular unavoidable stage of menopause in any woman’s life is not lesser severe than earlier stages of her life which she has to go through. May be her attaining puberty, menstruation, pregnancy, delivering a human being from her body could be observed as just natural phenomenon……. But, one can’t ignore or underestimate the pains she has to go through while passing through respective stages of her life, which from other side could be labelled as not anything extraordinary but performing all these natural responsibilities.
Whatever, but since ages no ideology proved to be foolproof whether it favors or contradicts anything, anybody even the women?
To me it seems that the most undisputed timeless ageless ideology could be –
Let the women have absolute equal status at all perspectives of life.
They don’t desire pseudo respect from family & society.
They don’t want pity to be felt on them for any reasons.
They need a livable world free from perennial crimes against women. And here the every individual on counterpart side to ensure the same, as well as the families, societies and the Nation too must ensure the same. And this shouldn’t be considered as protection to woman, as responsibilities given by nature been considered as weakness of women.
The anatomy, the body she been blessed with, seemed many times as curse as reverse side of blessing. Time and again, women been commodified as bundle of freely available luxury to satisfy the unruly lust of perverts, which pathetically imbalances the morale values of social fabric since ages.
So finally, women should be looked at as human-being not as baby-producing machine or lust-toy…..else the wrongdoers must be emperished???
5. What made you to feel towards women..?
The various shades of women around us….as mother, as sisters, as daughters, as relatives, as friends…..all carrying different emotions for you(the male), but, having one thing in common, they are really made different from males in terms of everything visible or invisible.
And one new age science theory (don’t know its genuinity) – Women can live and lead the world without men, but, men can’t live and lead the world without women.
I am not underestimating men (I am a man too), but, agreeing to the absolute truth of our ancestral Sanatan Dharma, where women are being worshiped as Goddesses, whereas in real life been suppressed beyond human tolerances.
6. What message would you like to give to society?
In today’s world of DATA, society is very much vigilant and well versed with the art of life, morale of life and all ingredients of prudent intelligence. Society doesn’t need unnecessary spam of biased one-sided wisdom, rather hard core implementers free of vested interests.
Public memory is always very short, not in today’s world only, but, since ages. That’s why our Nation was invaded many times in past (Mughals, Portugals, Britishers, etc), and our women were the worst sufferers of the then Indian populations. Apathy of people of this generation never ever seems to realize the sufferings of our ancestral women and having nostalgic sympathy for them…
While in normal times we do struggle at safeguarding dignity of our women from internal & external evils, then imagine the scenario when likes of evils of past could be more powerful than us?
We are running short of time, let unite cohesively to avoid another dreadful invasion or partition, not in our families, societies but even in our Nation too……then only we can protect our glorious ancestral heritage and our women…
7. Your Favorite genre by now?
Undoubtedly FICTION
8. As you have been nominated in Aaveg series by AIY can you tell what make you exceptional?
Feel it not fair question. I can’t be self-boasting.
9. Your message to young writers?
Write from heart not from brain…
10 .What are the 3 things that writer should keep in mind while writing and can you suggest the good time of writing in a day?
What I do feel is that ….
First – Let the thoughts flow organically not artificially
Second - If writing becomes passion, then writing becomes easygoing
Third - Let’s explore and write about solutions to help the generations to come
See, nobody can have control over the timings of own Birth and Death, and as each and every fraction of TIME (second) is equally important for Life, similarly its always good for writing…..after all WRITING is symbolized with wisdom in our SANATAN PARAMPARA……and which is blessed by Maa Sarasvatiji.
However, from professional routine disciplinary perspectives, one can design own schedule as per best convenience.
