Film producer Ali Akbar Sultan Ahmed along with rising star Rizwann Sikander attended the first National Delphic summit 2022 held in Gurugram. The event was filled by delegates across India. Art and culture have always been a part of India. To encourage a rich and authentic culture in India that attracts people from all around the world, the Indian Delphic council hosted the 1st Delphic summit in Gurugram. The main agenda behind the summit was the global movement of art and culture.


The event started in the presence of the international Delphic council Secretary-General Ramesh Prasana along with the chairman of the Indian Delphic council, Shri N N Pandey, former IAS officer. It was for the first time when NCAI (National Craft Alliance of India), signed an MoU with the Secretary-General of IDC (Indian Delphic Council), Mr. Ramesh Prasanna, and Ms. Iti Tyagi, Founder, Craft Village, New Delhi, followed with a presentation of Craft Village and future of the alliance. Famous personalities associated with the Delphic movement include the late Nelson Mandela and Mikhail Gorbechev. From India, Hema Malini, Paresh Rawal, Sunil Shetty, Salim and Sulaiman, Bhagyashree, Shreyas Talpade, Dr. Ali Irani, Hafeez contractor, Yash Birla, Dr. Mickey Mehta, Tejaswani Kolhapuri, Nisha Jamwal, Raghav Sachar.


In support of the event, Member, Maharashtra Delphic council, Ali Akbar Sultan Ahmed says, “I felt the amazing circle of influence that the Indian Delphic council has around it is the right way to make a bit difference to the artistic and cultural ecosystem of our world. Every district, state and every artist should be a part of this movement as it is the culture that makes us who we are. This is a historic moment for art lovers in India as well. It will rapidly boost the art and culture across the country. Our ability to dream things up and make them happen is what makes us distinctive.”


Ali Akbar Sultan Ahmed and Rizwann Sikander were part of a larger gathering of the powerful group of artists, creative professionals, entertainment professionals, top government officials, and many other high-profile members of the Delphic movement in India. The Delphic movement comprises 29 Indian states and is a part of 65 country networks with a focus on revitalizing art across categories and rejuvenating the culture that makes up our society.

The Delphic movement has an old history as it was first started 2500 years ago in ancient Greece and was known as a twin sister of the Olympic games, as the Olympics was about physical sport similarly Delphic was dedicated to encouraging arts and cultures. The revolutionary Movement received irresistible support from prominent artists like Musicians, painters, sculptors, craftspeople, fashion designers, academicians, Dancers, Administrators, and many alike.

Artist Rizwann Sikander who is also a part of the Maharashtra Delphic council also showed up at the summit and was seen meeting the Delphians from other states and Nepal in Gurugram. Talking about the summit Rizwann says, “The atmosphere was eclectic and conducive to creative collaboration and it is highly recommended that everyone who wants a peaceful world should join the Delphic movement and participate in the National Delphic games to be held next year. I want to thank IDC for making me a part of such a breakthrough movement in Indian art history. Delphic council is always in support of the art and artists. I express my heartfelt gratitude for the National Delphic summit 2022 and will keep on working to promote art and culture in India.”
