Tete-a-tete over a cup of coffee with Global Goodwill Ambassador( Singapore, Malaysia, and India) and Founder of Krescendo Communications, a boutique communications firm, about embracing connections across the globe, how the book happened- and where he hopes it will lead.

Author Ganesh Somwanshi shares how he celebrates the power of connecting in his new co-authored book How To Talk To Strangers

When you first see the cover of How To Talk To Strangers- the upcoming workbook with intriguing and enlightening real-life incidences on talking to strangers narrated by Ganesh and other global writers, you really can’t help but connect with people with confidence. It’s empowering and honest, boldly asking you to jump in and have a genuine connection — which is exactly how he comes across in person.

“My first book on connections, and I would like to thank Kerrie Phipps from Australia for allowing me to contribute my life-changing experiences in the book. It is a manifesto of true connections, whether strangers, colleagues, clients, or friends, a work of light amid dark times. Let us embrace the new normal; let us connect with the world with an open heart and mind,” sighs Ganesh as he smiles at a copy in his hand.

The new author admits that while “connections need to be nurtured,” it is imperative to establish them with a “heart,” “confidence,” and “resilience.” “Interacting with locals, children, youngsters, entrepreneurs, and purpose-driven brands has shaped me in many ways,” he reflects.

“I conducted a webinar some time back and had students attending the same from the US, Canada, Singapore, and India. I also spoke about how tech innovations increasingly influence our relationships –finding someone special, nurturing new friendships, or even helping bring harmony back when things worsen. One of the participants told me that she feels communicating with people on the go is relaxing but makes sure she doesn’t reveal too much. Maintaining a balance is important,” he reminisces on a recent webinar he had conducted for them.

The book is an odd mix of valuable insights and helps one to do simple acts of kindness and pushes one past your comfort zone to connect with others. “Bustle, anxieties, hostility, immaturity, ignorance, efficacy, fear, selfishness, and remote work can all contribute to the distance between people,” the author notes and go on to suggest that “too much time communicating through a vibrant screen… cannot replace the bonding effect. A more connected, hope-filled, and the collaborative world is waiting for you to be explored.”

“Wonderfully uplifting, empowering, and revelatory is the impact you will have after reading the book. God exists between the other person and me when we speak heart-to-heart. Let us make sure that we touch people’s life with authenticity, step up and stretch and be divine and cool.” signs off Ganesh as he finishes his coffee.
