Forever Filmoholics creates the first of its kind movie content on Tiger conservation with real tiger footage

Produced by Big Cat films Mumbai, the creator duo – Joydeep Mukherjee & Santanu Ray has managed to create a full-length movie content on the much talked about tigress Avni who was killed in 2018. The film is titled as ‘Avni ki Kismat’.

Directed by debutant Shonet Barretto, the film stars Sanjay Suri as the protagonist supported by Ashlesha Thakur, co-supported by national awardwinning actress Mitali Jagtap and  Manwendra Tripathy, Pratap Phad to name a few.

The major portion of the shoot was done in the Pench National forest of Madhya Pradesh followed by a short schedule in Mumbai recently, now the post & edit is being done.

Talking about the film, the creator duo from Forever Filmoholics had mentioned “We wanted to create a film which will appeal to the younger generation of the society & also we didn’t want to use any VFX / animation of the Tiger as that would make the Tiger sequences artificial, leaving aside the budget factor. Hence, we have used original tiger footages from various sources matching the script sequences”.

Using their project management skills, the creators have managed the project from start to finish, from story development, Location Scouting, Logistic Planning, scripting, talent on-boarding, production strategy & planning, management of edit / post production / BGM, procurement of tiger footages etc.

The film is claimed to be the first ever Indian film to have a 30% screentime of original tiger where the entire story is told from the perspective of the tiger, the film is going to get ready in next couple of months post which it will go for a festival run across the globe, before its release in India.
