1. Take me through the size of this industry. Are people welcome here in India?


The global industrial hemp market size is estimated to be valued at USD 6.8 billion in 2022. By 2027,  the same will reach USD 18.1 billion, recording a CAGR of 21.6% in terms of value. Amidst this, Asia Pacific dominates the sector with a share of 32.4%. A projected CAGR is 16.8% from 2022 to 2030. We believe that the Indian hemp ecosystem has immense potential once all of us start to identify and extrapolate its benefits.


For example, we came up with THC oil India 1:9 which helps people get the benefits of THC in a legal way, which wasn’t possible. In the west, medical cannabis products is extensively used for many ailments, but thanks to our range of THC oil, people can also take advantage of this compound.


2. Has the government been supportive of your endeavor?

Fortunately, they are, and the award I have received from the Rajasthan government is a testament to that. The FSSAI notification recognizing hemp seeds and their derivatives as a superfood provided a much-needed thrust toward the acceptance of hemp as a rich source of nutrition. We believe that through strategic collaborations with the government, we can further lay down a solid grassroots level plan for hemp. Medical Cannabis has always been legal in India and the designated departments of government have always been keen to go through all my proposals. They very well understand the importance of our industry towards the growth of the Indian economy. I would take this opportunity to thank the DGCI, FSSAI and the Ayush Ministry for always supporting me.

3. What are your company’s goals?

As a brand, Hempstrol has a very simple brand philosophy. We focus on top quality products that are sustainable and environmentally sound. India has been culturally connected to Cannabis since the vedas and we want every household to make the most of this wonder plant. Our products, such as CBD oil, THC oil, and CBD oil for dogs, etc., serve as solutions to various skin ailments; physical and mental, that people suffer from.

Our list of products includes, but is not limited to, CBD oil, hemp aromatherapy oil for menstruation, athletic recovery, hair fall, THC oil in three different ratios, and CBD oil for pets. Each one of our products is holistically crafted giving utmost priority to quality.

4. What’s next for Hempstrol?

There are many product ideas that our team has on their mind. We are currently in the conceptualization stage and testing phase of those products. Those products, too, just like other products, are based on hemp but in different forms. The most important thing we, as a leading brand in this field, have to do is educate people on the benefits of hemp. We currently have a full-functioning blog on our website, where we are trying to erase the common misconception that hemp is an intoxicant or drug. We love giving our clients surprises and in the coming time we are determined that we will take the Indian Cannabis Industry to Global Standards.

5. What are you doing so differently in this hemp industry?

We believe every problem is unique and, therefore, requires different products to treat those problems. If you look at our range, you will see we have a CBD oil range in different potencies, but at the same time, we have menstrual, hair growth oils too to tackle other problems. In the west, many companies are fast closing in on the multifaceted uses of hemp, and back home in India, we are too coming out with different products and not focusing our attention on just CBD oil. For example, we have a separate line for pets that can be used on dogs, cats, and even horses.  By keeping the diversity in our products line we will truly be able to champion sustainability and economy with our hemp-based products.
