In the golden words of Wallace Stegner, “Talent can’t be taught, but it can be awakened.” These impactful lines have had a lasting impact on all the individuals wanting to chase their dreams. Among many successful names, Arjun Shah has set his throne as an experienced entrepreneur and an artist manager. Zeroing down his passion for music at a young age, he played guitar for his school band and participated in several school competitions. Shah’s interest in music helped him bag the prestigious Vinod Dikshit Award in 2004 by the then Chief Minister of Delhi, late Sheila Dikshit for his thesis - The X-Files on the Success of Rock Music in India. 


Juggling between Mumbai and Delhi during his early years of life, Arjun pursued a degree in Bachelor’s of Management Studies from the coveted St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai. The city of dreams known for its plush nightlife saw this opportunist establish his maiden venture named Spotted Club - a nightlife networking and content portal that became a raging hit across different Indian cities like Mumbai, Pune, and Delhi. In the following years, Arjun joined media and entertainment conglomerate, Percept where he was involved in building live entertainment formats, forging brand partnerships, and designing brand strategy. 


A man with a vision; Arjun was associated with Asia’s leading festival - Sunburn. Some of the eminent personalities he has worked with are Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, Tiesto, and Avicii. He has also been a part of notable projects like Miss Universe India, Commonwealth Boxing Championship, World Gaming Festival, and the Supercar Show. 


In 2013, Shark & Ink was born as a nightlife promotional marketing agency, which then turned into a 360-degree multi-genre pop culture business. The company has interests in different verticals like talent representation, music, content, experiences, and marketing. With an experience of more than 15 years in the entertainment industry, the entrepreneur calls his journey enriching. 

As of today, Shark & Ink has closely worked with a plethora of musicians, creators, gamers, actors, speakers and other known media personalities. The Yellow Diary, Dino James, DJ Shaan, DJ Sartek and Monica Dogra are just a few of the talented artists who have entrusted them with their careers. Arjun’s artists have taken India to an international stage and it speaks volumes about the bar set by Shark & Ink. Sartek was the first Indian to be signed by the EDM legend Hardwell whereas DJ Shaan represented India at Tomorrowland. DJ Shadow has made music with pop stars Pitbull, Sean Paul and Guru Randhawa. 

With years of dedication and perseverance, Shark & Ink has been a dominating force in the entertainment industry. Arjun Shah through his leadership and creative flair continues to create an impact with the work of his artists and projects on a global level.
