'1911', which was announced more than a year ago, will star John Abraham. It is a period film on Mohun Bagan's historic win against an English football club in 1911.
John will play the reallife character of Shiv Das Bhaduri, who led Mohun Bagan in the historic IFA Shield final.
"We are not happy with the script so we are still working on it. It's a sports film and it needs lot of work. Once it's ready, John Abraham will announce it," Shoojit told PTI.
His another film, 'Hamara Bajaj' with Ayushmann Khurrana and Yami Gautam, is also on hold.
"The script was not to the satisfactory level so we are still working on it," the 'Piku' director said.
Shoojit, meanwhile, is excited about his next release 'Pink' starring Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu. The film, directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, is slated to release on September 16.
