After sporting a glamorous avatar in Mani Ratnam's Kaatru Veliyidai (2017), Aditi Rao Hydari will be seen as the girl-next-door in Bhoomi. The film holds a special place in the actor's heart as she has created her own look for many scenes in the film.

"Chandrakant [the film's stylist] designed costumes for all of us and was open to incorporating my suggestions," begins Hydari and goes on to add, "I wanted to use looser silhouettes, choosing to stay away from fitted kurtis and patialas."

The Omung Kumar-directorial sees Sanjay Dutt playing a protective father to Hydari's character. Since the drama largely revolves around the deep bond between the father-daughter duo, the actor had an insightful suggestion with regard to her styling. "Most girls love wearing their mothers' clothes. In Bhoomi, I imagined my character would love to wear her father's hand-me-downs. We used oversized shirts and men's t-shirts too."

Having used a few items from her personal collection, she mentions that her favourite is a scene where she wears her most prized possession. "In a scene, I am wearing silver baalis that a friend had gifted me for my tenth birthday."
