Actor Anupam Kher's long-delayed film 'Mr. Bhatti On Chutti' is ready to finally hit theatres May 18 and the actor says that Amitabh Bachchan's cameo role has brought authenticity to the film
Amitabh plays Mr. Bhatti's conscience and also his inspiration. "B.B. Bhatti is a big fan of Amitabh Bachchan, he keeps seeking advice from him. A situation arises in London where he (Bhatti) gets interchanged with the villain.

I play the villain also. So he says, 'I'll do the work only if Amitabh Bachchan talks to me on phone'. So Scotland Yard arranges for it," the 57-year-old said here at the music launch of 'Mr. Bhatti on Chutti'.
"Earlier, we got the voice dubbed from Sudesh Bhosle. But at the end of the film, we realised that if Amitabh Bachchan is not in the film, then the film would be incomplete. So I requested Amitji. He has always been kind to me, so he accepted. He did a guest appearance which has brought authenticity to the film," he added.
Meanwhile, Anupam is sceptical about the film's release which has already been delayed by more than four years due to financial and censor issues.
"The film is releasing May 18, but even now anything can happen. But I hope that people will watch the film and they'll enjoy it," he said.
Anupam would also be seen shaking a leg in the film. "We didn't have money to pay to a big heroine for an item number. So I said I'll do an item number. For someone like me, who doesn't know how to dance, I felt like Michael Jackson," said Anupam.
