Anjolie Ela Menon has lived in both cities ufffd Mumbai and Delhi. And although Mumbai still holds a very special place in her heart as she's stayed here for many years before moving to the capital, when it comes to the idea of space, Delhi wins over Mumbai for her.
“In villages there like Shahpur Jat and Nizammudin, you can find the space and space is very important for us artists,” she told CS, “Where could I afford to buy a 650 square feet of studio space in Mumbai?
Here in Delhi, my studio is near my office and Delhi is very rich in art events, exhibitions and concerts. It is slowly becoming the hub of art.” Guess Mumbai better catch up then!
