It is learnt that it was to be a solo ad with Hrithik, but the actor suggested they get Barbara on board as well. Since the movie releases next month, Roshan Jr, has been thinking of unique ways to promote the movie. He feels that doing a TV commercial will help promote the film.
The brand managers were more than happy to have both Hrithik and Barbara together for the ad. A source says, "It works both ways. We get two good-looking celebrities together and it will also help the promotion of Kites. The actor briefed Barbara personally and checked if she was comfortable with it."
The concept is to showcase their chemistry and the ad will be shot on a beach. "It will be aired a few weeks before May 21 (when Kites releases). Also this is the first time Hrithik has been paired with his reel-life heroine in a commercial.
