Over six months after the Mumbai terror attack which gutted the Taj hotel, Bobby Deol visited his favourite restaurant, Wasabi by Morimoto, at the hotel.

Frequent visitor

Says a source close to the actor, "This was his first visit to the restaurant after the renovations post the attack. Bobby used to frequently visit it. The waiters and the maitre d' got nostalgic about his visit. They crowded around him and told him what had unfolded in the restaurant. He felt terrible and got very emotional."

Later Bobby on an impulse went to Nariman Point and walked down to the Oberoi hotel. "Passers-by were taken aback to se the actor on the streets, some of the bikers even stopped to stare," adds the source.
The actor's in-laws stay in the vicinity.

Says Bobby, "Taj will always hold a special place in my heart, because that is where I got married. During the 26/11 attacks, I heard and read how brave the staff was and it was highly emotional for me to go there and meet them in person. I just admire their bravery. Like they always took special care of my family and me when we went for lunch there.

Walking down the Trident road, I could see the workers restoring the building and the roads near by. Taj and the Oberoi are something that I have grown on and both these places are special for me. It was a good feeling to see how things are almost getting back to normal to them as they are a heritage of this beautiful city of ours."
