On the eve of 100 years of cinema on May 3, 2013, when the entire industry made the day special, new producer Ashwinkumar Tendulkar, also did his bit to add to the celebration.
Not only did he release his film Tendlya Nighala Oscarla on that day but also kept the first day first show of the film free for audience. CS talks to Ashwinkumar to find out more:

Artistic view
The idea of doing free screening of the film, first day first show is to pay tribute to the father of Indian cinema Dadasaheb Phalke. People might think it’s a publicity stunt but it’s purely done to add a small bit to the mega celebration from my side. In fact, even the film is made from an artistic point of view. It isn’t made to earn profits and do record breaking business. It’s an honest try and I have given my best.
Encouraging talent
Firstly, all the cast and crew working on the film are new. None of them have ever worked on any film or anything related to films earlier. I wanted to give a chance to the new young talent and set an example. I think I must be the first producer to do so in the last hundred years.

I started the film on February 17, 2013 and released it on May 3, 2013. In 45 days, we finished the shooting and post production work. It is a total family entertainer. The film is about the struggle of villagers wanting to make a full length feature film and their journey. u00a0
