Eesha Koppikhar says she will try to release Shabri on her own
After her three-year-old film Shabri, directed by debutant Lalit Marathe, got delayed due to a dispute between producer Ram Gopal Varma and distributors Adlabs, the actress is now planning to approach buyers herself to facilitate the film's release.

The actress wants the film to release by November. She says, "It's now my responsibility to find someone who will help us out. I am in talks with a couple of people who might be interested in it."u00a0
u00a0When asked if she confronted Ramu, Koppikhar adds, "He has failed all of us. He simply has no answers. He was always busy when we tried to get in touch. It's unfortunate that a first-time director who's so talented had to suffer."
Weird and weirder
Adding that he even stopped the film from going to the Rome Film Festival she says, "It was weird when Ramu didn't let the film go to the festival. There was a huge buzz around Shabri around that time but he didn't cash in on it. I don't know exactly what went wrong with him."u00a0
u00a0Despite the unfortunate past, Eesha wants the film to have a wide release. "I am positive that Shabri will make it to theatres. I don't want to let whatever happened in the past affect the release of this film."
