Over the last few weeks, rumours surrounding Nikkhil Advani's Bazaar have been far too many. The latest is that co-producer Ekta Kapoor has walked out of the project that reportedly stars Saif Ali Khan, leaving him in a lurch. Nikkhil's team has now clarified that there is no bad blood between him and Ekta.
"We were developing the script in discussion with Balaji (Ekta's production house). We had an option on the film to go solo. At this juncture, we have chosen to do it [the film] on our own. There's absolutely no difference of opinion. There's mutual admiration and great respect between us. Balaji CEO Sameer Nair and I have been laughing over the trade rumours suggesting a spat. They continue to be our well-wishers," says Madhu Bhojwani, producer and spokesperson for Nikkhil's Emmay Entertainment.

Explaining the reason behind Balaji's exit, she says, "It's a business decision. The pre-production work is on. We start rolling in May and wrap up the film in three months. We have assembled the cast and will make an announcement shortly. If, at a later stage, we feel the expenses are way too big for us to handle, we will consider bringing another party on board."
