Estranged brothers Aamir and Faisal Khan have proved that blood is indeed thicker than water. After working toward rebuilding their relationship, the brothers have now patched up. Forgetting the ugliness of the past, the younger brother has now begun attending office at Aamir Khan Productions.
Says a source, "Faisal has been going daily to Aamir Khan Productions. He is keen to learn the ropes of filmmaking and what better place than at Aamir's office? He has evinced interest in turning director and has even worked on a screenplay for a commercial flick. He wants to imbibe the various aspects of production work before he takes the plunge."
The thaw begins...
About three months back, the first signs of the Khan brothers' reconciliation were evident when Aamir was shooting for Rajkumar Hirani's 3 Idiots. Faisal would drop on the sets to catch up with his elder brother. Buzz was that the two along with the rest of the cast and crew would also enjoy a game of carrom in between shots.
The source adds, "Whatever may have happened in the past, the two are slowly and gradually on their own, doing their bit for a reconciliation. No one wants to talk about it but both are letting each other be and willing to extend a helping hand."
A thing of the past?
Aamir and father Tahir Hussain were caught in a bitter legal battle fighting for Faisal's custody while he was going through medical treatment. Though the court had granted custody of Faisal to the father, Faisal had chosen to live by himself.
He had moved out of Pali Hill to stay at a rented flat in Chembur. Later, he shifted to another place at Bandra east.
Post the legal issues, Faisal was also involved in a reality show imbroglio in September last. He was not allowed to be part of Bigg Boss 2 at the last minute as he was considered "unstable" to be one of the participants u2014 at that time B-Town buzz was that it was done at Aamir's insistence.
