It's a familiar sight every year — Shah Rukh Khan climbing the fence of his luxurious bungalow, Mannat, in Bandra to greet fans every time he turns a year older. While the superstar will ring in his birthday in the company of wife, Gauri, his children, Suhana, Aryan and AbRam, as well as his besties, a lavish bash will follow in the evening. DJ Chetas will play at the party tonight for his fans who have flown in from different parts of the world.
Chetas has planned a surprise act for SRK which, obviously, he did not want to reveal, but we hear that the star will be with him in the console area pumping up the jam and getting his fans on the dance floor.
Says the DJ, "It's a big day for the star's fans and my playlist will include all of his chartbusters over the years. There will also be live performances by a violinist, percussionist and saxophonist."
Chetas, who was approached by Shah Rukh's production house to perform at the bash, plans to open his gig with an instrumental track from SRK's 2000 flick 'Mohabbatein' in which he played a violinist.
There will be a mash up of songs from his upcoming film, 'Dilwale'. His fans can expect chartbusters from 'Deewana' (1992), 'Baazigar' (1993), 'Main Hoon Na' (2004) and 'Chennai Express' (2013) to flow out of the DJ's console.
"For me, it's all about getting the fans on the dance floor to shake a leg with the Bollywood Baadshah. At the end of the day, as a DJ, you need to serve the audience what they want and the way they want it," he adds.
