It's a familiar sight every year — Shah Rukh Khan climbing the fence of his luxurious bungalow, Mannat, in Bandra to greet fans every time he turns a year older. But, today will be special as he reaches the 50-year milestone and the trailer of his upcoming film, 'Fan', is released to mark his big day.

While the superstar will ring in his birthday in the company of wife, Gauri, his children, Suhana, Aryan and AbRam, as well as his besties, a lavish bash will follow in the evening. DJ Chetas will play at the party tonight for his fans who have flown in from different parts of the world.

Chetas has planned a surprise act for SRK which, obviously, he did not want to reveal, but we hear that the star will be with him in the console area pumping up the jam and getting his fans on the dance floor.

Says the DJ, "It's a big day for the star's fans and my playlist will include all of his chartbusters over the years. There will also be live performances by a violinist, percussionist and saxophonist."

Chetas, who was approached by Shah Rukh's production house to perform at the bash, plans to open his gig with an instrumental track from SRK's 2000 flick 'Mohabbatein' in which he played a violinist.

There will be a mash up of songs from his upcoming film, 'Dilwale'. His fans can expect chartbusters from 'Deewana' (1992), 'Baazigar' (1993), 'Main Hoon Na' (2004) and 'Chennai Express' (2013) to flow out of the DJ's console.

"For me, it's all about getting the fans on the dance floor to shake a leg with the Bollywood Baadshah. At the end of the day, as a DJ, you need to serve the audience what they want and the way they want it," he adds.

>> Initially, he was not good at Hindi in school, so his mother would often take him to a film if he passed the subject. Since he loved watching movies, he would work hard to get good scores.
>> His love for TV commercials prompted him to pursue mass communications in college.
>> He ran a restaurant in Dariya Ganj in New Delhi for a brief period.
>> After 'Pardes' (1997), he was supposed to star in Subhash Ghai's film 'Ganga' opposite Manisha Koirala, but the project never took off.
>> It is well known that his tiffin box consists of grilled chicken, but sometimes there are cutlets and pasta too.
>> King Khan is known to be a doting dad. In 2009, he had a boxing ring specially constructed for his son, Aryan, who was at that time glued to WWE bouts. The manufacturing company, a sports shop in Dhobi Talao, had never before installed a boxing ring at someone's home.

>> SRK does not like to talk about his charitable work; he feels "when you do merciful deeds, don't let your left hand know what your right hand does".
>> He never looks at scripts when his closest buddy, filmmaker Aditya Chopra approaches him for a project. At the same time, he feels Chopra should have made more films with him.
