What's it about: There are so many things happening in this mindless attempt to be a comic caper that it's tough to put down if there is a head to this tale. What starts as the story of a buffoon (Broacha) who accidentally makes it big after rescuing a kidnapped RAW agent (Mirza) from the hands of a mad maharaja (Boman Irani) who wants to restore his dynasty's palace under the BMC headquarters. Makes sense? Well it won't, cause Kunal Vijaykar sets out to spoof everything from Bollywood to politics and in the bargain compromises on the plot, his characters and everything that should make a movie watchable. PS: There's also Mahesh Manjrekar who mouths some weirdu00a0 limericks quoting everyone from Osama Bin Laden to Danny De Vito!
What's hot: Kunal definitely has a flair for satire and comedy which is obvious from the opening frame.

Manjrekar's dialogues and Boman Irani's 'breakfast liya' line sound crazy enough to actually entertain you.

Whoever played hitmen Salim-Suleiman deserve a honorary mention for playing their part with utmost sincerity.

Boman Irani rises to the occasion and paints one of the most whacked out characters he's every played.

What's not: Starting off with characters that zap you with their eccentricity, the plot soon starts rambling and spiralling out of control. Perhaps over excited and in an attempt to go all-out bonkers, Vijaykar loses out on a premise that would keep your interest alive. We get the fact that lot of stuff in the film is nonsensical and derived right out of a man's hat, but there is zero cohesiveness to the storyboard. Cyrus brings nothing new to the table, while Dia Mirza only looks alive in an item song. Manjrekar's wit and funny lines also lose steam in the second half and sound repetitive and forced.u00a0u00a0

What to do: If you want to watch something that makes no sense, has no beginning or end, and challenges you to work on what's given, then Fruit and Nut might be it, otherwise give this one a miss!
