Goodbye Patti!

American singer Patti Page recently passed away after a heart failure in California.

The 85-year-old was best known for her 1950 hit ‘Tennessee Waltz’. CS tells you more about her:

>> Patti has a street named after her in Claremore, Oklahoma, where she was born. Highway 20 running upto Oologah is also known as Patti Page Blvd.

>> Patti became a featured singer on a 15-minute radio programme on radio station KTUL, Tulsa at age 18. On air, she was dubbed ‘Patti Page’ after Page Milk Company that sponsored the programme.

>> She was nicknamed ‘The Singing Rage’ as she sold more than 100 million albums in her 67-year career.u00a0
