Like her predecessors Tamannaah and Taapsee, Bollywood newbie Harika Payal too made her South film debut opposite Manoj Manchu
Not one but two South actresses have made their Bollywood debuts recently. A source says, “After Tamannaah (Himmatwala) and Taapsee Pannu (Chasme Baddoor), it is Harika Payal’s turn to make her Bollywood debut. While Tamannaah made her debut opposite Manoj in the 2005 starrer Sri, Taapsee made her debut opposite the actor in Jummandi Naadam in 2010.”
Says Harika, “I went through the routine procedure of giving auditions and got selected for Vivek’s film. It was similar to how I got my debut film in the South opposite Manoj. Being from Mumbai, I wanted to do a Hindi film.”
The actress was not even aware of the unusual coincidence. She says, “I hope I get the same success as them.” Harika plays a superstar in Vivek’s film.u00a0
