Sees 1-800-LOVE at a recent screening, feels director Abbas Tyrewalla has sidelined him in favour of his wife. Refuses to promote film

Abbas Tyrewalla's long-in-the-making 1-800-Love seems to be suddenly in the news for all the wrong reasons. The latest is that the director had a special screening of the movie recently for its lead star, John Abraham. Buzz is that the actor was reeling in shock after what he saw. There was more of his co-star Pakhi (Abbas' wife) in the movie and less of him!

Says a source, "John was visibly upset after watching the film. It was as if Abbas had made 1-800 Love as a showreel for his biwi. He felt there was an overdose of Pakhi throughout the film and that he was hardly there."
Adds the source, "John made his resentment clear and stated that he would refuse to promote the film."

Pakhi was the casting director for Abbas' debut flick Jaane Tu. She earlier went by her real name Punarnava Mehta and has acted in Harry Baweja's film Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai (2002), directed by Hansal Mehta. She has also featured in Rajan Khosa's Dance Of The Wind (1998) starring Kitu Gidwani. Apart from writing, she is also an Art of Living instructor.

1-800-Love is being produced by Madhu Mantena and Saregama.

As reported Johnny delayed, the film was facing financial issues and even so, the director was planning to scrap a costly song sequence Poorer by a crore! So what?.

Mantena and Tyrewalla remained unavailable for comment.
