It's a bad time to be hit by acute laryngitis. Not when you have a Q&A session scheduled with the likes of Shah Rukh Khan and Hugh Jackman in attendance. Karan Johar, you have our sympathy!

KJo's throat ailment is so bad that he has had to cancel the shooting of two episodes of Koffee With Karan featuring Farhan and Zoya Akhtar (scheduled for last night) and Arjun Rampal and Mehr Jesia (for Monday).

I apologise...

He confirms, "I'm down with laryngitis. I'm surviving on antibiotics and medication and could barely manage to give the inaugural session speech at FICCI yesterday morning.

I had to do it as I was committed to it. However I apologised for my croaking voice before I gave my speech and said it might continue for the next three days."

I should shut up

What has him more worried is the session on debutant actors and directors with Ranbir Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Kiran Rao and others.

He will act as moderator for the Q&A session with SRK and Jackman with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan introducing them.

Adds KJo, "I have had laryngitis before and sometimes it happens with too much talking. I should learn to shut up."

He quips, "Although, I now feel I have a sexy new voice and am hoping it enhances my sex appeal. I'm hoping injections and medications will save the day."
