Irrfan Khan's character Shaukat speaks in chaste Urdu in the film, and the song is a mixture of both English and Urdu
Irrfan Khan
Irrfan Khan starrer Karwaan features a song with a weird mixture of Urdu and English lyrics that can be the next cool ghazal for gen next. The song, Heartquake, aims to make anyone believe that romance can blossom in the most strange places. Akarsh Khurana who has helmed the movie said, "We needed a quirky romantic song for Irrfan's character, Shaukat. He gets irritated with Mithila Palkar's character whenever she speaks to him in English. He responds to her in chaste Urdu. So to depict Shaukat's vulnerable romantic space I wanted a song which was a mix of Urdu and English."

Heartquake is a quirky mixture of Urdu and English lyrics which will appear in the second half of the movie. Karwaan starring Irrfan and marking the debut of Dulquer Salmaan and Mithila Palkar, revolves around 3 oddballs from different walks of life who are thrown together on a somewhat bizarre journey which helps them find normalcy in their lives
It is a road trip on which some crazy adventures take place, some lines are crossed, some bonds are forged, detours are made, experiences are shared and secrets are revealed. An uneasy alliance is formed between three unlikely co-passengers on an eventful (and often hilarious) journey from Bangalore to Ooty to Kumarakom and finally to Kochi.
Produced by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP in association with Priti Rathi Gupta of 'Ishka films', Karwaan is directed by Akarsh Khurana and is slated to release on 3rd August, 2018.
