Konkana Sen to do her first double role in Vinay Shukla's film Mirch

Konkona Sen Sharma will essay her first double role in Vinay Shukla's film titled Mirch. According to sources, the actress has signed on to play the twin roles of a Rajasthani princess and a modern-day girl in the same film.

Konkona Sen Sharma will essay her first double role in Vinay Shukla's film titled Mirch. According to sources, the actress has signed on to play the twin roles of a Rajasthani princess and a modern-day girl in the same film.

Seeing double

Apart from Konkona, the film will also feature Raima Sen and Shahana Goswami. Even Raima has a double role in the film.



A source on the project reveals, "It's a bold film that weaves four short woman- centric stories together in a humorous way. The subject deals with two women from different places and social standards who bump into each other, when they befriend each other. It has comic moments as well as a serious undertones."

Apart from Mirch, Konkona is also working on Ayaan Mukherjee's Wake up Sid with Ranbir Kapoor. In the film, Konkona plays a middle-aged woman called Ayesha Banerjee. She's a writer who finishes her Masters degree and comes to Mumbai to become a writer.

The film deals with her relation with a younger boy played by Ranbir.
When contacted director Vinay Shukla confirms, "Yes, Konkona will be seen in two different stories in the film."
