TV host Mini Mathur says she is proud that her husband Kabir Khan's directorial venture "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" won at the National awards.

The former VJ, who was attending the Gen next show on the first day of Lakme Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2016, said she is happy to be associated with the project.

"I am really happy and proud of Kabir. It is a big achievement as National awards are something that are not TV based or for entertainment. They actually show what the country feels. I am happy to be associated with 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan'," Mini said.
The Salman Khan starter received the best film providing wholesome entertainment award at the 63rd National Film Awards, announced on Monday.
The cross-border drama revolves around a little Pakistani girl, who loses her way on the Indo-Pak border and finds herself in India.
The character played by Salman finds her and takes it upon himself to re-unite her with her family in Pakistan.
