Minissha Lamba finds it easy to have a good laugh. What's difficult is to make others laugh, says the actress. On the sets of her upcoming film, which is a comedy, Minissha reveals, "Making others laugh is a very serious business." The actress, which has two comedies slated to release next year, got talking to CS about humour:
Comic craze
I always wanted to work in comedy films, as I feel it's the toughest genre for an actor. If you can make someone laugh, you can do almost anything.
But thankfully, I have great co-actors in both the films. Vinay (Pathak) is a brilliant actor from whom you can learn so much. I love the manner in which he juxtaposes the cunning and the naivet ufffd. Shreyas and Tusshar too are blessed with great comic timing. Besides, they're just great fun to be with on the sets.u00a0
The witty streak
My brand of humour is dry. It's very tongue-in-cheek. A witty person will definitely get my attention. Also, whenever something really stressful happens around me, I just burst into laughter. It angers and irritates many, but I feel a good laugh can help you ease the pressure within you and in people around you as well.
I love watching films like 3 Idiots, Tere Bin Laden, Andaz Andaz Apna and the old Golmaal whenever I want to get a few good laughs. They are great stress-busters.
Cheerful prospects
Well, my prime target for 2011 is to get a little slimmer (laughs out loud). I am a foodie, and it's tough for me to stay super slim all year long. I also want to work in a variety of films, so I hope to get some exciting roles. I will move into a new home in mid-May, so doing up my house is another pet project.
Right now, besides the films on hand, I'm an active participant in the renovation work that's taking place in the new home. As for the New Year, I just hope I can bring it in in Phuket surrounded by my friends and good cheer.
