Onir talks about why he screened his romance drama at Mumbai's culture festival ahead of release

Ahead of its theatrical release on February 16, filmmaker Onir's love saga, Kuchh Bheege Alfaaz, will screen at a city festival on February 9. The director, of My Brother Nikhil (2005) fame, terms the development an "ideal prelude to Valentine's Day", given that the outing is a contemporary take on love.

"I am looking forward to the first public screening. It will be a beautiful prelude to Valentine's Day because this film is about finding love again. It's the WhatsApp kind of love," he says, referring to the influence of social media on his lead characters. The film revolves around RJ Alfaaz (Zain Khan Durrani) and meme artist Archana (Geetanjali Thapa). The latter is optimistic about finding love on dating applications, and chances upon Alfaaz. It features the song, Pehla Nasha Kuchh Bheege Alfaaz from Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992).
